Located in the National Capital Region, we exclusively practice Immigration Law. Prior to opening his law practice in Ottawa, Mathew Akl has worked at immigration law firms in Montreal and Toronto including Matkowsky Immigration Law and AKM Law. In these positions, Mathew has experience in preparing complex immigration applications including previously refused applications, humanitarian and compassionate applications, sponsorships, work permits, study permits, and visitor visas. Mathew prides himself on obtaining positive results for his clients. In addition to his experience working at immigration law firms, Mathew has also worked at Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Mathew attended the University of Ottawa’s joint Common Law and Political Science program. As the son of immigrants, Mathew is aware of the struggles and adversities that come with moving to Canada and is committed to making the process as seamless as possible.
